About Jim
Jim Montelongo is a three-term Peoria City Councilmember, currently serving his second term as the 4th District Councilmember and having previously served as an At-Large Council Member.
Jim has many great accomplishments as a Peoria City Councilmember, including creating many neighborhood associations and watch groups, The Peoria Ring Doorbell security program, the rebuild of Northmoor Road, but he is most proud of hosting close to ten years of monthly public meetings with his constituents where he was able to address their issues and concerns in a relaxed setting. Jim is a fiscally conservative voter and has voted against Pere Marquette funding, property, sales, and gas tax increases and the Storm Water Utility and Public Safety pension fees.

Jim and his wife, Kristina, have lived in Peoria for over 31 years and built a beautiful life here, raising three sons, volunteering at their kids’ schools, their church and community and building a business. The Montelongos are current members of St. Philomena’s Parish and past parishioners of Holy Family Church.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from Bradley University.
Jim is the founder and owner of Advanced CADCAM Service Corporation (“ACCS”) which has created hundreds of jobs in Peoria and generated $150 million of revenue over the last 29 years.
